I AM NOT A CHARLES TAYLOR SUPPORTER. NEVER WAS AND NEVER WILL BE. NOTWITHSTANDING, I BELIEVE JUSTICE SHOULD PREVAIL. MR TAYLOR MUST BE GAVEN A FAIR TRIAL. MEANING THAT HE SHOULD BE REPRESENTED BY A HIGH POWER DEFENSE TEAM THAT IS EQUALIVENT TO THE PROSECUTION TEAM. (AN EQUAL PLAYING FIELD).
THE COURT MUST ENSURE THAT MR TAYLOR IS GAVEN A FAIR TRIAL. THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING, ESPECIALLY AFRICA. THIS COURT SHOULD NOT BE A KANGAROO COURT. THERE ARE MANY MORE CHARLES TAYLOR IN AFRICA AND THE WORLD. IF THIS COURT FALLS SHORT OF A FAIR TRAIL, AFRICA WILL LOSE CONFIDENCE IN FUTURE COURT, AS A RESULT, BRINGING OTHERS LIKE TAYLOR TO JUSTICE WILL BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE.
CONSEQUENTLY, IF THIS COURT FAILD TO RENDER A FAIR TRIL AND RUSH TO JUDGEMENT THE RESULT WILL BE CATASTROPHE.
